Applications
For sewing technical textiles, that require extremely high heat resistance, such as filters and insulation. This special thread is also excellently suited for the production of flame-retardant protective clothing, welding and thermal covers
Advantages
This special core spun thread has a metal core made of 5 stainless steel wires. The Kevlar wrapping provides the textile character, which protects the steel core during the sewing process. The thread also has good chemical resistance.
- Heat resistance > 500 °C under mechanical stress
- Heat resistance up to 900 °C without mechanical stress
